This month, an open art competition was held at my place of work. Being that I lack artistic talent and the proper knowledge of photo editing, I the urge to write ten Nintendo haiku in the traditional 5-7-5 syllable format. I accompanied the haiku a photograph my wife ~velvetnegative took of my hand holding a pencil made to look like Super Mario sliding down a flag pole.

Though I had no intention of winning, I was granted the "Great Artist Award" ribbon. Said achievement was also granted to a fellow employee who submitted stick figure art depicting a stick-man priming to throw a stick-spear at a stick-deer.

I found them to be funny, so I thought I would share them with the Internet. Enjoy.

It was an oceanic landscape with fish and a turtle. It was neat.
