Literature Text

I was suffocating in the cloudy day
Confined and concealed away from the memory
They locked out my mind
Separated spirit from skin
Until the breach, I was all but extinguished
Strangled in grey, garroted by storm
The face of the moon brought back breath
Evaporation in the reflection
We smiled at one another, bright and genuine
Rain fell no more; the mist cleared
I wrote this at work one day after my wife (then girlyfriend) and I got into a tiff. We were in bed with the lights out, and I remember looking up at her at some point after we'd settled our debacle and her face was just radiant. She had this wry smirk on her face. She just melted away every bad feeling I ever had up until that point.

This is just beautiful, honey. We were probably fighting about He-Man or something.
